Children.
Everyday at Kodiak Baptist Mission you see children being led by their teachers. It might be to their classroom, the potato patch, the barn , or wherever their next adventure waits. Leading children is not always easy. There are many distractions that cause a straight walking line to become a bit crooked. Perhaps a baby goat catches the eye of a child, or a stick might have to be picked up, causing the line to change. A straight walking line can soon become crooked and filled with distractions.
Leading the children from one point to another in a straight line can be a major accomplishment, but it is not the kind of leading that Kodiak Baptist Mission is all about.
Straight walking lines are not our main goal at KBM. We have a greater calling for the children.
Our ministry and prayer is to lead the children to the Cross. Straight to Jesus. Our desire is to help them look past distractions in their life and to walk straight toward Jesus.
Even though our walking lines through the campus may not always be straight and without distractions, our ministry plan is to always lead children straight to Jesus. Straight toward His open arms.
Matthew 10:13-16
13 “ People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 When Jesus saw this , he was indignant.. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and Blessed them.”
We want the children to be in the arms of the One who loves them the most. We want them to know Jesus.
Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “ Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
May we always be found leading the children straight to Jesus in all that we do.
Jesus is waiting.
Lead the children to Him.
Straight to the Cross.
